Time to step up and face the music: I was wrong. Jose Bautista was worth the big contract before the season. Heck, he might be underpaid.
Scoring is down this season. (So is attendance ... is it related?) Through May, the league's batting average (.252) is the lowest since 1989 and runs per game (8.43) is the lowest since 1992. We're back to numbers from the pre-steroid era, which makes sense.
